LAU OF WELLNESS is dedicated to helping you achieve your highest, best level of health with knowledge you can trust.  Lau of Wellness is a group of renowned professors, doctors and practitioners with over 100 years combined successful experience in acupuncture treatment and herbal medicine.  We have decided to make Huntington Beach our home base.

Miranda Lau
 
Miranda Lau is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine Wellness. She is Licensed (BJ0447) internationally in the Technology of Global Quintana Therapy Electrical Apparatus, the latest and most unique Chinese medical therapy in the world.  She was awarded the Outstanding Practitioner of the Global Quintana Therapy Electrical Apparatus in 2011. 
 
Ms. Lau is a seventh generation practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  She brings her background in the healing arts from Imperial Secrets, the most effective body of work on healing. She is currently in general practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine Wellness with special interest in assisting women in the cure and recovery of women's problems involving such issues as Hyperplasia of mammary glands, Hysteromyoma,  appendicitis, irregular menstrual cycle, ovarian cancer,  immune defficiencies, hormonal imbalances, pain related problems, bone spurs and aging related conditions.    
 
Ms. Lau intensively studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in both Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine School in China and the DongGuk Royal University at Los Angeles, California in the United States. She also obtained a Business Science degree in  Finance at San Diego State University in San Diego, California.  
 
Ms. Lau finds herself fascinated with Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her greatest satisfaction is when she sees her patients smile as she knows her patients have found relief from pain. Over the years, she has successfully helped and treated many patients in China, Hong Kong and the United States.

 

Dr. Steven Chen, L.Ac

Dr. Chen is a Certified Acupuncturist in the state of California and has more than 30 years of practical experience diagnosing and treating thousands of patients in both the United States and China. He received his Masters degree in Acupuncture, Tuina and Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine from the Beijing TCM Medical School and also has a Bachelors Degree in both Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Anhui Province.

A pioneer in his field, he strongly advocates a combination of traditional Eastern Medicine and Western medicine. Dr. Chen has treated thousands of patients with specific ailments such as acute and chronic pain, respiratory disorders, and dermatological and age-related diseases.

He holds paternts on his prescriptions for nasal allergy, cold, acne, impotence, and various joints pain formulas and etc. Many products such Facial Pure (for acne), Liver pure (for liver problems), Recolor-Regrowth (for Hair loss) Back Limbs Calm (for low back pain), Seahorse Strengthener (for low sexual Drive).

Dr. Chen is also certified by the state of California to serve as a Director Private Post secondary Education. He has almost 30 years teaching experience at several leading Acupuncture schools in The United States, including Samra University of Oriental Medicine and American Pacific Acupuncture College and Donk. Royal Acupuncture School. As a bilingual teacher, he has lectured at many leading universities around the country including U.C.L.A. Medical School. Many of his accomplished. Students have gone forward to treat, and teach in the field of Acupuncture.

Dr. Yuiying Mao, 
L.Ac

Graduate from Shan Dong Chinese Medincine University.  She has treated thousands difficult diseases.  Among her many outstanding Chinese medicine treatments, she especially focus on women's health problems. Such as: treatment for post-chemotherapy of breast cancer, pain relief and lessen the down time after the chemotherapy.

As a Physician of Traditional Chinese Medicine:
  • I shall look upon those who are in grief, as if I myself have been struck and I shall sympathize with them deep in my heart.
  • I will not give way to wishes and desires but develop first a marked attitude of compassion.
  • I shall not ponder over my own fortune or misfortune and thus preserve life and have compassion for it.
  • Whoever suffers from disease and illness will be looked upon with contempt by people. I shall maintain an attitude of compassion, of sympathy, and of care. In no way shall arise an attitude of rejection.
  • I shall treat all patients alike, whether powerful or humble, rich or poor, old or young, beautiful or ugly, resentful relatives or kind friends, Chinese nationals or foreigners, fools or wise men.
  • I shall not emphasize my own reputation, and belittle the rest of physicians while praising my own virtue.
  • Neither dangerous mountain passes, nor the time of day, netiher weather conditions nor hunger, thirst nor fatigue shall keep me from helping wholeheartedly.

    With this oath, I shall fulfill my responsibilities and my destiny as an owner and managing director to each and every patient who seeks help from me, until I am no longer capable of fulfilling my obligations, or until the end of this lifetime.
